The Hispanic or Middle Eastern man burglarized a work van belonging to a company located on Washington Avenue on May 10, Detective Sgt. John Cleary said Tuesday.
He put the tools into a black Honda Odyssey and drove off, Cleary said."The vehicle did not have a front license plate," the sergeant said. "The rear license plate was partially covered with a dark plastic bag but exposed enough to reveal a New Jersey-issued plate.
"The vehicle also displayed a New Jersey inspection sticker on its front windshield."
Anyone who can help police find the vehicle and/or the suspect is asked to contact the Carlstadt Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit: (201) 438-4810. Or email: jcleary@carlstadtpolice.org.
"The identity of anyone providing information will remain anonymous,” Cleary said.
