Officer Christopher Paskovich stopped the 2015 U-Haul after it emerged from the north tube into Jersey City around 7 p.m. yesterday, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
Mitchell Neil Thompson, 24, of Reading, PA handed the officer an expired Pennsylvania driver’s license, after which a computer check found he had not only a suspended license but also an active warrant for burglary and terroristic threats out of Pennsylvania, he said.
Port Authority police charged Thompson with being a fugitive from justice and were holding him at the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending extradition.
