Maurice Alvarado, 22, of Jersey City “placed his hands in his pockets simulating a weapon and made verbal threats to both the victim and witness,” the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.
The 29-year-old victim then tried ducking into an ATM and getting in a taxi line following the 4 a.m. incident, but Alvarado followed “and continued harassing her,” Pentangelo said.
So she called 911.
Alvarado bolted but was caught by Port Authority Officer Matthew Vogelman at JFK Boulevard and Tonnelle Avenue after a four-block chase, Pentangelo said.
He was charged with criminal sexual contact, resisting arrest and two counts of making terroristic threats.
