Married Fort Lee construction worker trafficked child porn, prosecutor says

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A married Fort Lee construction worker was being held on $100,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail after being arrested on charges of trafficking child pornography, authorities said today.

Jose Chavarria, 53, of Bergen Boulevard is charged with child endangerment, Bergen Counthy Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said this afternoon.

Molinelli said he was arrested yesterday following an investigation by members of his Computer Crimes Unit and Computer Crimes Task Force and Fort Lee police.

Seized were more than 100 images and/or videos of “pre-pubescent children engaged in sexual acts,” the prosecutor said.

Molinelli thanked Bogota and Carlstadt police for contributing officers to the task force.
