Man kills himself on Route 3 in East Rutherford

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A Lyndhurst man whose wife died earlier this year killed himself by stepping in front of a tractor-trailer on Route 3 in East Rutherford this morning, following an unsuccessful attempt on the New Jersey Turnpike in Linden last month, authorities said.

Christoph J. Moje, 43, parked his car on the eastbound shoulder just west of the Turnpike, crouched behind it and then darted in front of the rig just after 7 a.m., East Rutherford Police Chief Lawrence Minda said.
