Man killed by NJ Transit train in Rutherford

A man was struck and killed by a Hoboken-bound NJ Transit train near the Rutherford station tonight.

07/15/2013 11:57 p.m.

NJ Transit said the man was struck just east of the station at 5:50 p.m. by a Bergen Line train that had only crew members aboard.

None of them were injured.

NJ trains on the Bergen Line were operating with 20- to 30-minute delays.

NJ Transit Police are investigating.
