Passaic police arrested 28-year-old Andrew Kazmierzak on Wednesday, East Rutherford Police Chief Larry Minda said.

He remained held in the Bergen County Jail pending a bail hearing.

Kazmierzak -- who had various home addresses -- went to the 26-year-old victim's house in the Monarch Apartments on Schindler Court on Sept. 13 "to talk" but got into an argument with her, Minda said.

He urinated on the floor, after which she got the bleach -- which he took from her, the chief said.

Kazmierzak then "dragged her through the bleach and punched her in the face," he said.

The victim was hospitalized for lower torso injuries, Minda said.

Kazmierzak, meanwhile, eluded an intense manhunt, and detectives obtained a fugitive warrant charging him with aggravated assault.
