Raymond Rouland, 45, was picked up on Friday after detectives traced him through a credit card that they said he stole during a burglary in their town and then used at the Jersey Gardens Mall.

They identified him “through eyewitness identifications and video surveillance images,” East Rutherford Police Chief Larry Minda said.

A search of Rouland’s on Friday turned up evidence of burglaries or thefts from residents of Millburn, South Orange, Montclair, Maplewood, and Kearny, Minda said.

Charges already filed, or expected to be filed, include burglary, theft and credit card fraud.

Rouland was being held on $35,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail pending the filing of charges by police in the other towns.
