CARLSTADT, N.J. -- Transformers dangled like a chandelier over a Carlstadt street, one witness said, after a bus plowed through a utility pole, pushed aside planter and kept going to the end of the block Wednesday morning.
No injuries were reported in the Hackensack Street crash near Division Avenue just before 9 a.m.
The NJ Transit driver told police the bus apparently hit a patch of black ice and that she kept going to clear the downed power lines.
