RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Sean Moran, 56, of Rutherford, died peacefully Feb. 11, 2016.
He was the father of Sean Liam Moran; son of Margaret Moran-Vosburgh and the late Daniel Moran Sr.; brother of Mary Kate Neville and her husband Jim, Dan Moran and his wife Deborah, Frank Moran and his wife Wesanne, Kevin Moran, Matthew Moran and Margaret Scanlon and her husband Glenn; and uncle to many nieces, nephews and grandnieces.
Moran was a lifelong Rutherford resident and loved his hometown.
His passion was his alma mater, St. Mary High School in Rutherford, where he was the boys' basketball coach for 10 years.
He worked for the Rutherford Public Works for 30 years before retiring in 2011.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the Macagna Diffily Onorato Funeral Home, 41 Ames Ave., Rutherford. There will be a funeral Mass 10 a.m. at St. Mary RC Church in Rutherford. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Family and Friends will be received from 2-7 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the St. Mary Athletic Department.
