RUTHERFORD, N.J. — James E. Lewia, of Rutherford, died Nov. 7. He was 80.
He was born in Newark, and was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford. He was employed by Becton Dickinson in Franklin Lakes as a project engineer. After retiring, he worked as a volunteer at Hackensack Medical Center. He also was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary; and his siblings, Theodore M. Lewis, Eleanor Pourchier and Elizabeth Lewis.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Kathleen Stefanacci and her husband Emil; and grandchildren, Patrick and Megan Stefanacci.
There will be a funeral at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Macagna Diffily Onorato Funeral Home, 41 Ames Ave., Rutherford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary RC Church, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford. Interment will be at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Clifton. Family and friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
