He was born March 30, 1925, in Jersey City, N.J.
Before retiring, he worked as a truck driver for Interstate Motor Freight in Carlstadt. Additionally, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a longtime member and 2006 Man of the Year of the of the Rutherford Guardsman.
He is survived by his daughters, Diane Florian and her husband Cesar and Kathleen Barbieri and her husband Stephen; and siblings Florence Palamara, Richard Gatty and his wife Carol.
He was predeceased by his wife Eileen Mullen.
The funeral is at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Macagna-Diffily-Onorato Funeral Home 41 Ames Ave., Rutherford. A funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary RC Church, Rutherford. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus.
