RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Gela (Zerva) Katafigiotis, 84, of Rutherford, died Nov. 25.
Born in Athens, Greece, she came to the United States in 1963. She was a seamstress with Dara Dress Company in Passaic and a member of the ILGWU for many years.
Katafigiotis was the beloved wife of the late Menelaos Katafigiotis, who predeceased her in 1996; loving mother of Kimon Katafigiotis and his wife Jennifer; cherished grandmother of Olivia Katafigiotis; and the dearest sister of Helen Jeske.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Macagna Diffily Onorato Funeral Home 41 Ames Ave., Rutherford, with internment at the Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst.
