Edward T. Pieluc, 90, Rutherford Resident

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Edward T. Pieluc, a resident of Rutherford, died on Wednesday, March 16. He was 90.

Pieluc served during the Marine Corps during World World II. He received his undergraduate degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University and a master's degree from NJIT. He was an engineer in computer science with government programs, and worked at Lockheed and BAE Systems. Pieluc enjoyed traveling with his family to Florida and showing them the world.

He was a member of St. Michael's Church, where he served as an altar boy, lector, minister, usher, and was a member of the Holy Name Society and various committees of the church affairs. He was also a marshal in the Pulaski Day Parade, a Boy Scouts assistant, and member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, St. Michael's Senior Citizens Club and Polish American Club.

Pieluc is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bernadine; children Theresa Rowan and her husband Paul, Joanne Lesny and her husband Peter, and Edward Pieluc Jr.; grandchildren Kelly Durante and her husband Bryan, Danielle Cassano and her husband Vincent, Edward III and Ryan Pieluc; and great-grandchildren Nico Cassano, Liam Durante and Giuliana Cassano; brother Richard; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, March 18, at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Rd., in Lyndhurst. The funeral will be from the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m., to a 11 a.m. funeral mass at St. Michael's. Entombment will be Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum.
