EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Dorothy Anne "Dottie" (Villata) Dermody, of East Rutherford, died on Wednesday, Feb. 15. She was 89.
Dermody was born in the Bronx to the late Vincent and Elizabeth Villata.
She is survived by her children, Robert and Rosemary Dermody of East Rutherford, and Eugene Dermody Jr. of San Francisco; grandchildren Kelly and David Dermody of East Rutherford; brother Richard and his wife Beverly Villata of Ogden, Utah; cousin Eleanor Suenholz of Paramus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dermody was preceded by her husband, Eugene Dermody Sr. of Wood-Ridge; brother Thomas Villata of New Rochelle; and cousins Vincent Villata of Carlstadt, Georgette Pflug of Toms River, Barbara Lehman of River Edge, Tom Rapuzzi of Hackettstown and John Rapuzzi of Old Tappan.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, at the Costa Memorial Home, 170 Central Ave., Hasbrouck Heights. The funeral will be from the funeral home on Saturday at 8 a.m., with a 9 a.m. funeral liturgy from Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, 188 MacArthur Ave., in Garfield. Entombment will follow, at Garden of Memories, 300 Soldier Hill Rd., in Washington Township.
