Born in Jersey City, he moved to Rutherford as a boy and lived there the rest of his life. He ran DiNoto Fuel Oil Heating and Plumbing for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time down the shore.
DiNoto was a past exalted ruler of Rutherford Elks Lodge 547, a member of the JCs and Unico, and a Rutherford volunteer fireman.
He is survived by his children, Carla Picheo and her husband Bart, and Melissa Runge and her husband Greg; grandchildren Angela, Ava and Valentina; and sister Carol Mazzeo and her husband Joseph.
DiNoto was preceded by his wife of 34 years, Marilyn (Marsella) DiNoto, and his parents, Charles and Angelina.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., in Rutherford. The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. on Friday from the funeral home, for a 9:30 a.m. mass at the Church of Saint Mary, in Rutherford. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, in Lyndhurst.
