The Rutherford Civil Rights Commission is organizing the event from 6-6:45 p.m. at Lincoln Park. Everyone is welcome.
Participants will light candles and children can bring chalk and draw or write a message of peace, love and friendship.
Everyone is invited to bring friends, neighbors, family and loved ones. This is an event to remind the Rutherford community that no matter what their views are, everyone will stand together against hate and division.
"No matter what your religion, your political views, your gender, your sexuality, or your ethnicity, we are all humans. We hope to see you there," organizers said.
