East Rutherford Considers Raising $25 Fine For Parking On Snowy Streets
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- East Rutherford officials are considering raising the $25 penalty for parking on the street during a snow storm, according to NorthJersey.com.
East Rutherford residents may see stiffer fines for on-street parking during snow emergencies.
The proposal comes on the heels of the Jan. 22 blizzard that saw residents opting to pay the fine instead of digging out and moving their vehicles. Police Chief Larry Minda also noted that East Rutherford's $25 fine was lower than some surrounding municipalities, NorthJersey.com reported.
