RUTHERFORD, N.J. — More than $3,500 had been raised as of Sunday evening on a GoFundMe page established by a Rutherford man for Nepali flood victims.
"From the cold waves in the winter to heat waves in the summer and floods in the Monsoon, parts of our country are very prone to natural calamities," Satendra Sah wrote on the page.
"The torrential rain over the last few days has brought irreplaceable damage to many areas of Saptari and Sunsari districts. It has brought chaos to Saptari and its surroundings and left many helpless families without food, clothing and shelter," he said.
