RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Rutherford's Luke Gaccione was New Jersey's Hoop Shoot champion.

After winning the Ortega Hoop Shoot, in Rutherford, Gaccione advanced to the NJ State Elks Association's State Hoop Shoot, in South Plainfield -- and won.

He then advanced to the Regional Hoop Shoot, in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, and the finals, in Chicago, Illinois.
