Modern libraries are so much more today than just "holders of books," and the Friends of the Library wants to help get that message across to residents. Anyone who recognizes the vital role the library plays in the community can be a member.
Friends' fundraising will help the library continue to provide quality programming, prizes for summer reading programs, up-to-date media and more. Friends can also help the library by volunteering there. "Anyone who loves the library should consider being a Friend," notes a news release. "Together we can make the library even more wonderful than it already is."
Membership dues run from $5 for students and seniors, $10 for Friends generally and upward as generosity may allow. You can find a membership form here.
The library is located at 143 Boilings Springs Ave., in East Rutherford. For more information, check out its website, or follow it on Facebook or Twitter.
