Twenty-nine boys from first- through fifth-grades participated in this annual event. For those unfamiliar with the Pinewood Derby, a scout receives nothing more than a block of wood and four wheels. From these humble beginnings, scout and parent work hard to craft a car that both looks good and goes fast.
First place honors went to Frank Spirig, followed by Justin Kudlacik in second and Alexander Syby in third. The top finisher for each grade level is automatically invited to race their car at the multi-town District Pinewood Derby on April 2.
