RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Kids are invited to walk to school with Rutherford Mayor Joseph DeSalvo Jr., as part of the Mayor's Wellness Campaign, on Wednesdays in May and June.
Here are the logistics:
- May 4 -- Washington School -- Meet promptly at 8 a.m., at the corner of Raymond and Washington Avenue.
- May 11 -- Union School -- Meet promptly at 7:50 a.m., at the corner of Washington and Darwin Avenue.
- May 18 -- Pierrepont School -- Meet promptly at 7:50 a.m. at Lincoln Park, at the corner of Lincoln Avenue.
- May 25 -- Lincoln School -- Meet promptly at 8 a.m. at Lincoln Park, at the corner of Park Avenue.
- June 1 -- Kindergarten Center -- Meet promptly at 8:25 a.m. at Lincoln Park, at the corner of Lincoln Avenue.
All children are welcome to walk to school with DeSalvo, to help promote a healthy lifestyle as part of the Mayors Wellness Campaign initiative. Parents are welcome to join in the walk, and these events are rain or shine.
