- Free movie on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 6:30 p.m. The Friends of the Library of Rutherford will present a free screening of “Leap Year.” The film stars Amy Adams and Adam Scott follows Anna, who trails her boyfriend Jeremy to Dublin to propose to him. The movie will be shown in the Library Auditorium.
- Children's Music with Miss Fran takes place on Friday, Feb. 26 from 11:15–11:45 a.m. Miss Fran will bring her guitar and play favorite familiar children’s songs for dancing and fun. No registration is required. This program is funded by The Friends of the Library of Rutherford.
- Children’s Matinee on Friday, Feb. 26 from 3:45–5:30 p.m. Children ages 4 and up are invited to a screening of the box office hit “Inside Out.” Bring a snack and a friend. No registration is required. An adult caregiver must remain with any child under age seven for the duration of the film.
- Crafty Kids on Monday, March 7 at 3:45 p.m. Children ages 6 and older are invited to create a St. Patrick's Day project. Registration is required and is in progress.
- Chess Club on Thursdays starting March 10 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for children ages 7-12. Led by an experienced, adult chess player, this program offers children the opportunity to pick up a few tips and improve their chess strategy. The program runs six weeks. Registration is required and is now in progress.
- Preschool Craft on Tuesday, March 15 at 3:45 p.m. Children ages 3, 4, and 5 are invited to make a St. Patrick's Day craft at the Rutherford Public Library. Children are asked to have an adult accompany them in order to assist them with the making of the project. Registration is required and will begin on Feb. 16.
