The library is looking for posters that emphasize Earth Day and celebrate our environment. The contest will be judged by East Rutherford Mayor James Cassella. The deadline for all entrants is 4 p.m. Saturday, April 16.
The winning artist will meet Cassella, take a picture with him and be awarded a special certificate Friday, April 22. Their poster will be framed and displayed in the library for one year.
Students in kindergarten through fifth grade are eligible to enter; only one student per poster. Instructions for poster submissions are as follows: poster size is typically 11” x 17” paper; it must fit into a 16” x 20” frame.
Posters can be full color or black and white, and made with crayon, colored pencil, watercolor, pen, marker or paint. Please refrain from using glue, adhesives, glitter, etc. as this can be damaging to other posters.
