Doo Wop, Oldies Will Fill The Air In Lincoln Park Rutherford

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Jersey Sound brings oldies and Doo Wop to the Lincoln Park band shell on Thursday, Aug. 4 as part of the Rutherford Summer Concert Series.

People should bring blankets or chairs and come ready to snack on hot dogs and beverages available for purchase.

Donations for the Rutherford Food Pantry will also be collected. A list of needed items can be found here

Jersey Sound is based in Nutley and covers tunes from 1950s through 1980s.Band members include Phil Bruno, Pete Del Vecchio, Paul Tarlow, Michael Delvey, Jim Cotugno, Bobby Freeman and Dom DiGioia. 

A regular on the summer concert scene in the tri-state area, Jersey Sound also plays at adult communities and private functions. 

Rutherford's summer concert series takes place at the Lincoln Park Bandshell on Lincoln Avenue and Highland Cross.

Upcoming concerts include,

  • August 11 -- Beatles Faux Sale (Beatles tribute band)
  • August 18 -- Jigsaw (classic rock) and Big House (rock/pop)

The concerts are sponsored by Cliffhanger Productions and the Rutherford Recreation Department.
