The Paterson Avenue location is the gastropub's second location.
The owners were seeking a "comfortable neighborhood" that would be welcoming to the whole community.
"We are dedicated to great food, awesome cocktails, and craft beer," said owner Adam Zebib, 36. "We want to support the entire community and we want the community to support us."
The menu offers 13 different appetizers, soups and salads, tacos and quesadillas, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, steaks, ribs, pastas and fish. There is also a signature cocktail list and 20 rotating taps that change with the season.
Other accommodations include a daily specials list, Sunday brunch buffet, and several televisions.
Zebib wants it to be a "fun, upbeat" environment. He hopes to eventually open more Garden State Ale Houses in northern New Jersey.
Garden State Ale House is located at 340 Paterson Avenue in East Rutherford.
