Start-Of-Spring Snowstorm Not So Bad For Bergen, Passaic

The original snow models for as much as a foot Sunday into Monday morning have changed now that a intensity of a start-of-spring storm headed toward Bergen and Passaic has lost some of its punch.

The revised forecast as of Friday.

"The Euro model went from giving one foot plus snows to 3 to 6 for some coastal areas and much less north and west," meteorologist Joe Cioffi said.

Wind and rain was expected Friday, followed by a sunny Saturday -- with highs in the low to mid 40s -- before the white stuff starts falling, he said.

North Jersey can likely expect 3 to 6 inches overnight, with some of it sticking, Cioffi said.
