A cold front is approaching Bergen County that will pass through the area Thursday night, setting the stage for a 25-degree plunge Friday.

The pleasant weather everyone is feeling Thursday is due to a warm southwest flow. The northwest winds behind cold front later Thursday could bring some passing showers. Here’s a roundup of the temperatures for Thursday, Friday and the weekend:

  • Tonight, a slight chance of showers before 9 p.m. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 49. West winds around 8 mph becoming northwest in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
  • Friday: Sunny, with a high near 60. North winds 6-11 mph. At night, clear, with a low around 37. North winds 5-8 mph.
  • Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 59. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon. At night, a chance of showers, mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
  • Sunday: A chance of showers before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. At night, mostly cloudy, with a low around 43.
