Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect For Much Of Region A cold front moving across the region is being accompanied by a rapidly moving line of showers and isolated thunderstorms, some of which are expected to be severe, with damaging winds that could cause power outages. The time frame for storm activity from the system moving from west to east is from around 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, according to the National Weather Service. A high wind watch was issued Sunday for all but the state's northwest corner, with a sustained speed of 20 to 30 miles an hour -- and guests as high as 60 mph -- expected.
