Man Killed By Train In Somerset County
A man was struck and killed by a a train in Somerset County, suspending service to NJ Transit's Morris & Essex line Saturday, Feb. 26, authorities said. The man was struck on the Gladstone Branch by train 732 around 1:45 p.m. in Basking Ridge, NJT spokesman Everett Merrill said. A Monmouth County physician is having his license suspended for three years for "inappropriate sexual contact" with a substance-abusing patient for whom he also prescribed addictive drugs, state authorities said. These NJ ShopRite Stores Imposing Customer Limit Amid Coronavirus Spread
More than two dozen New Jersey ShopRite stores have implemented customer limits in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus. The maximum number of customers will be roughly 30 percent of the store’s regular maximum occupancy, ShopRite said in a statement. A security guard will be stationed at entrances and exits to track the number of customers coming in and out. Only one entrance per store will remain open. Former Morris Teacher/Camp Counselor Gets 15 Years In Federal Prison For Producing Child Porn
A former teacher and counselor from Morris County must serve the next 15 years in federal prison for directing live sex abuse videos of young children and getting a boy to send him naked photos that he shared with another. The sentence handed down Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Newark is part of a deal struck with the government by Colin M. Skeele, 33, of Florham Park, who pleaded guilty to producing child pornography in exchange for a more lenient sentence than he’d have received if convicted at a trial.
