Daily Voice has obtained footage of a van fire, including a minor explosion, that closed a Morris County intersection on Thursday, Dec. 5 (scroll for video). The incident occurred on Route 10 in Randolph near Denville, just past the Mount Pleasant Turnpike, and involved a painter’s van, according to Denville Police Capt. Scott Welsch. Authorities in Morris County are investigating the death of a 6-month-old infant on Wednesday, July 17. Police were called to a parking lot near South Ridgedale Avenue at Route 10 in East Hanover around 1:30 p.m. where they found the baby girl in a parked vehicle, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said. A construction worker who suffered brain damage when he fell 25 feet through a hole in a roof during the construction of a mall in Morris County has reportedly collected an $8 million settlement. Jesus Manuel Garcia of the Bronx was airlifted to a local hospital after plunging through an unmarked opening in the roof at the former site of the Ledgewood Mall on Route 10 on Feb. 1, 2020. A Morris County man was charged with assault by auto and several other offenses following a serious crash on Route 10, authorities said. Bryan Ramirez, 36, was intoxicated and using his cell phone when he caused a crash with injuries on Route 10 west in Denville on Sunday, June 5, Denville Police said. Ramirez, of Dover, was arrested and charged with assault by auto, DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, use of cellphone, and unsafe lane change, police said.
