Black Bear Spotted Near Ridgewood Country Club A black bear climbed into a Paramus tree Monday morning after leading police on a chase around the borough, authorities said. The bear was initially spotted near the Ridgewood Country Club before running through several borough streets -- ultimately ending up in a tree on Benton Road, Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said.
