No injuries were reported in the two-alarm blaze, which broke out in the eatery off the northbound highway around 7 p.m. "It was heavy, but it was knocked down quickly," one firefighter said. Downed Utility Lines Spark Leaf Blaze, Cut Power To Norwood Businesses Fallen utility lines knocked out power to several area businesses and sparked a leaf blaze in Norwood that was doused by firefighters on Monday. The lines fell in the area of Broadway and Livingston Street outside the Chase Bank shortly before noon. Norwood firefighters were joined by their colleagues from Closter, Demarest, Harrington Park, Haworth and Northvale, as well as borough police and EMS and the Closter Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Corps. Watch This: Lightning Strike In Wyckoff Knocks Out Traffic Lights A Wyckoff police dashcam captured video of a lightning strike Friday afternoon that zapped a power line, knocking out power to several customers -- as well as area traffic signals. The bolt hit the line at 12:15 p.m. near the intersection of Wyckoff and Russell avenues, leaving it burning in the roadway, Lt. Joseph Soto said. Wyckoff Avenue was closed in both directions between Franklin and Russell avenues until about 5 p.m.  Orange & Rockland restored most power except for an isolated area around the downed line.  No injuries were reported.
