Authorities: Third Shooter Charged With Attempted Murder Of State Trooper At Trailer Park
UPDATE: Authorities on Tuesday charged a third man with the attempted murder of a law enforcement officer for shooting an NJ State Police detective investigating a trailer park home invasion. Kareen "Kai" Warner Jr., 19, of Bridgeton, was originally charged with weapons possession by authorities investigating the shooting of NJSP Detective Richard Hershey at the Harding Woods mobile home park in Pittsgrove the night before. : Hillsdale Driver, 53, Killed In GSP Bergen Crash
A driver killed in a Wednesday morning crash on the Garden State Parkway was identified as a 53-year-old Hillsdale woman. A Toyota RAV 4 driven by Shang Nam was disabled by another crash when it was struck in the EZ-Pass express lanes on the southbound Parkway in Washington Township by an Audi A4 driven by a 40-year-old Upper Saddle River man shortly before 6 a.m., Sgt. A Connecticut man who authorities said fired at a police officer following a Jersey Shore traffic stop was indicted on attempted murder, kidnapping and other charges, authorities said. A 39-year-old Morris County motorcyclist was killed in a Friday night crash on the Garden State Parkway in Washington Township, authorities said. Preliminary indications were that a southbound Honda sedan driven by a 43-year-old Nanuet man "entered the lane of travel" of a Yamaha motorcycle driven by Simon Kerns of Chatham near Exit 166 just after 6 p.m., NJ State Trooper Charles Marchan said. Ryan died at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y., on Aug. 30 days before his 27th birthday. A Wayne man wanted for an attempted kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon at the Delaware Water Gap national park was captured in Warren County, authorities said.
