The good news: She was alert and conscious when EMS took her to Hackensack University Medical Center, Maywood Police Detective Sgt. William Phayre said.

The 23-year-old motorist was headed north in the southbound lane near Grove Street when her Lexus slammed into the minivan carrying two adults and six juveniles from Brooklyn shortly after 2 a.m., Lt. Driver Hospitalized In Route 17 Rollover A 21-year-old driver from Maywood was hospitalized with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening following a rollover crash Wednesday morning on rain-slicked Route 17 in Waldwick. His Honda Civic was headed north on the highway when it hit a pothole, hydroplaned into the center median and overturned near Grove Street around 9 a.m., Waldwick Police Lt. Thomas Dowling said.
