New Jersey authorities this week revoked the license of the ninth massage therapist in the past year for “inappropriate and unwanted sexual contact” with a client who literally put her trust in his hands. John R. Popper, 48, of Little Egg Harbor was convicted earlier this year of harassment by offensive touching for placing his hand on a client’s vagina during a massage at Hand and Stone spa in Somers Point. 5th Woman Alleges Sex Assault At New Jersey Massage Envy
The total number of women alleging they were sexually assaulted on Massage Envy tables has grown from four to five, their lawyers say. The latest case occurred at Massage Envy of Short Hills, the second complaint for the location, NJ.com reports. The five woman also claim incidents in Closter, Mays Landing and Piscataway and are represented by attorneys from Laffey, Bucci & Kent. North Jersey Massage Envys Covered Up Sex Assault, Women Say In Lawsuit
Massage Envy is facing a lawsuit filed by four New Jersey women saying they were sexually assaulted on massage tables and then discouraged from going to police by management, reports say. The suit claims that the assaults -- all involving male massage therapists -- happened between January 2015 and November 2016 at locations in Closter, Mays Landing, Piscataway and Short Hills, NJ.com reports.
