"The Craftsman" -- a new bar and restaurant run by a pair of Irishmen -- has announced an opening date. If all inspections go according to plan, the establishment will open on Maple Avenue on April 14, owners Philip Quilter and David Casey said. Teresa Ellen McGahren died on Jan. 30. She was 93 years old and remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and caregiver. Teresa was born to Grace and Patrick Holland on Sept. 17, 1927, on a farm in Rossnowlagh, Ireland on the banks of the Donegal Bay. At the tender age of 15, she left home to work and live with a family in Belfast, likely applying some of the practical skills she had learned on the farm. A New Jersey instructor with a competitive Irish dance organization sexually assaulted three boys, a trio of lawsuits filed in Hackensack charge. A second teacher, who has since died, was also accused by one of the three with assaulting him three decades ago. The plantiffs allege the abuse occurred in Bergen, Rockland and Fairfield counties, as well as in Syracuse, Orlando and Ireland, IrishCentral.com reported. Federal authorities have smashed the world’s largest dark web child porn marketplace, arresting a whopping 337 people around the world – some of them in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut -- all thanks to bitcoin. Elderly Woman Dies On Transatlantic Flight To Newark
A 71-year-old woman suffering breathing problems died on a Newark-bound flight from Frankfurt, reports say. United Airlines crew members administered oxygen and used a defibrillator on the woman, with several people taking turns doing CPR for nearly 40 minutes last Wednesday, passenger Adam Lisberg told the Irish Sun. The plane made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport in Ireland, where the woman was met by emergency medical crews, Fox News reports. The woman was pronounced dead after the flight landed. It was not clear where she was from.
