A 27-year-old Somerville man was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 4, and charged with fatally stabbing Maryrose Fealey last week, authorities said.
David Shroitman was charged with first-degree murder, possession of a weapon, tampering with physical evidence, and hindering apprehension, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said.

The ex-partner of Luz Hernandez, the Jersey City teacher found dead earlier this month, has been charged with murder in her death.
Cesar Santana, who was captured at a motel in Miami days after 33-year-old Hernandez was found dead in a shallow Kearny grave, was extradited to New Jersey on Feb. 21, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

An Englewood ex-con with a criminal record stretching back more than a decade tossed a loaded gun while running from city police, authorities said.
Officers investigating a report of drug dealing approached Damian Lee Shirley, 31, Englewood Ave and Lafayette Place around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, Police Lt. Fred Pulice said.
