Beloved New Jersey cross country champion and aspiring mechanical engineer Reece Darren Zosche died in a motorcycle crash on Friday, Nov. 18. He was 20. Born in Denville, Reece started running cross country at the age of five, continuing the recreational program through the age of 15, his obituary says. He was homeschooled with his brothers until 10th grade, when he began attending Mendham High School. Out-Of-State Passenger Not Wearing Seatbelt On Route 17 Found With Loaded Gun: Rochelle Park PD
A passenger not wearing a seatbelt acted suspiciously enough for a Rochelle Park police officer to begin asking questions -- and find a gun loaded with hollow-point bullets, authorities said. Hugh Warner, 29, of Daytona Beach, FL was in a Nissan Altima stopped by Officer Chris Kiszka on southbound Route 17. Backup officers arrived Kiszka found a 9mm Taurus handgun in the glove box, said Lt. James D. DePreta, who was one of them. Sussex County Mega Millions Winner Buys Shuttered Florida Beach Resort
A former Vernon man who won $533 million playing the Mega Millions bought a shuttered 239-room Daytona Beach resort. Richard Wahl, who moved to Sarasota, FL after his big April 2018 win, purchased La Playa Resort & Suites at an April auction this year for $13.6 million, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal reported. The resort opened in 1975 and was sold in 2016 to Summit Hospitality for $9 million in 2016. Months later, the 9-story property was severely damaged in Hurricane Matthew.
