Prosecutor: 12-Year-Old Boy Struck, Killed By Bergen Sheriff On Route 208 In Fair Lawn
A 12-year-old boy was fatally struck by a Bergen County Sheriff's Officer on Route 208 in Fair Lawn Sunday night, authorities said. The officer was traveling southbound in the left lane on routine patrol when he struck the boy, attempting to cross the highway divider with several other juveniles near the Fair Lawn Avenue exit ramp at 9:08 p.m. Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said. Paramus Girl, Beloved Teacher Killed In Route 80 School Bus Crash
UPDATE: A young female student and a beloved teacher were confirmed dead Thursday morning after a school bus filled with Paramus fifth-graders collided with a dump truck on Route 80 in Morris County. A total of 38 students and seven adults, including the driver, were taken to area hospitals, authorities said. Some were in critical condition and undergoing surgery, they said. The teacher, 51-year-old Jennifer M. Williamson, was a longtime Paramus native who taught in the district for nearly 20 years.
