Palisades Park Officer Struck By Passing Vehicle Recovering From Broken Bones
A Palisades Park police officer suffered a cracked clavicle and several broken ribs when a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Elmwood Park resident struck him as he responded to another crash, responders said. The officer was struck by a passing 2024 Honda CRV at 5th Street and East Brinkerhoff Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, Lt. George Beck said. Pedestrian Struck, Road Closed In Ridgewood
A pedestrian was struck and severely injured outside the Ridgewood Public Library late Monday afternoon. Police found the male victim bleeding from the head near the crosswalk following the crash on North Maple Avenue near the Village Shopping Center shortly before 4:30 p.m. Oct. 30. UPDATE: A motorist from Franklin Lakes was charged with reckless manslaughter in the death of a 92-year-old great-grandfather from Bergenfield in Teaneck this past summer.
