Newark High School Students Injured In Hit-Run Bus Crash
Five students and two adults were injured in a hit-and-run school bus crash Saturday afternoon in Newark. The bus from was carrying 13 people including West Side High School students when it was struck at Springfield Avenue and South 11th Street by a black Audi SUV, a Newark police spokeswoman said. The Audi driver fled the scene and seven people reported pain, authorities said. Further details were not released.The incident remains under investigation.

Newark Boy, 15, Leads Franklin Lakes Police On Route 287 Stolen Car Chase To Morristown
A 15-year-old car thief from Newark led Franklin Lakes police on a chase on Route 287 in one of two vehicles stolen overnight from the same borough home. A Huron Road resident called police before dawn Sunday saying that she activated a burglar alarm shortly before 5 a.m., scaring off someone who rang her doorbell, Capt. John Bakelaar said. Dumont PD: Two Girls Say Man In Trench Coat Exposed Himself In CVS Lot
A man in a beige trench coat exposed himself to two girls in the parking lot of the Dumont CVS on Monday, said police who sought the public's help finding him. The two high school students told police the man was in his mid to late 20s and driving a newer model white Audi. They said he played loud music to get their attention in the store's West Madison Avenue parking lot, then exposed himself to them, police said. Wrong-Way Driver Dies In Route 80 Crash
An elderly driver headed the wrong way on westbound Route 80 was killed overnight when his sedan crashed into an SUV, responders said. The Audi driver -- apparently in his late 80s -- was declared dead at the scene of the crash on the Passaic River bridge in Woodland Park just after 4:30 a.m. Responders believe he was intoxicated. There was no immediate word on injuries to anyone in the SUV. Three lanes remained closed for an investigation by New Jersey State Police and clearing of the wreckage at milepost 56.5.
