PalPark Detectives Charge Local Resident With Masturbating In Public
Palisades Park detectives arrested a borough man after a pedestrian said she found him masturbating on the main drag. The 35-year-old borough victim came to police headquarters and said she'd seen the man in the act as she walked on Broad Avenue near Washington Place the night of Nov. 9, Capt. Anthony Muccio said. A steady stream of warnings about vehicles being stolen or burglarized in North Jersey still hasn't convinced most potential victims to lock their cars and take their key fobs, so Palisades Park Police Capt. A group of teenage thieves who stole a sporty motorcycle from outside its owner’s house before dawn were quickly caught by Palisades Park police. The Edsall Boulevard owner was headed to work early Thursday when he pulled the KTM 390 to the street before running back inside for a moment, Capt. Palisades Park Vehicle Owner Thrown From His Car Chases Thieves
A Palisades Park owner got thrown from his car as he tried to stop a trio of thieves in his driveway, authorities said. The Glen Avenue resident saw something going on in his driveway and ran out to find the thieves in his car, said Capt. Anthony Muccio, the department’s officer in charge. He hung on to the vehicle to try and stop them but fell off as they sped away, Muccio said. Palisades Park Police Sergeant Accused Of Stealing $10K From Resident Suspended
A Palisades Park police sergeant accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a borough resident was suspended from his job, authorities said Thursday. The police department received a complaint from a resident saying Christopher Sambogna, 50, stole $10,000 for them, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. The sergeant, in his 16th year with the department, broke into the resident's safe to steal the money March 1, according to a criminal complaint.
