Details Released In Bayonne Officer-Involved Shooting Authorities have released details in an officer-involved shooting early Thursday, July 13 in Bayonne. Bayonne police responding to a report of theft from a gas station on 53rd Street near Avenue E around 6:45 a.m., found a suspect in the parking lot of Burger King on Broadway and 54th, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The suspect fled the scene in his vehicle, striking two police vehicles and an unoccupied civilian vehicle, Suarez said. An officer discharged his weapon.
