"It was a great kickoff to the fourth-grade travel lacrosse season -- the boys got to play three games in ideal weather conditions, all on the high school stadium field," Head Coach Keil Merrick said.

The four teams' coaches sponsored a branded "Battle in the Wood" sock for the players. "I think it added a nice level of comradery amongst the players," Merrick said.

Merrick also thanked the coaches, parents and the sixth-grader "laxers," who helped in the concession stand.

Ridgewood came away from the tournament 2-1. ‪
