Bergen County Schools Named To List Of Top 100 In The United States

Two Bergen County high schools were listed among the top 100 schools in the United States, according to the 2016 U.S. News and World Report’s latest rankings.

Bergen County Academies was ranked 92 on a list of top 100 schools in the United States.

Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro came in at 61 and Bergen County Academies in Hackensack came in at 92.

The news magazine collected data on more than 21,500 schools for the report. It was the first time that report included graduation rates as a factor.

Schools were awarded gold, silver or bronze medals based on their performance on state assessments, their graduation rates and how well they prepare students for college.
