DeCaro Luxury Auctions will auction the Brookside Avenue home to the highest bidder without reserve on auction day, the article says.
Homeowners Peter and Emily Abramenko were living around the corner from the two-acre property when it went on the market in 2002, the WSJ said.
The couple paid approximately $950,000 in 2002 and began the $15.7 million construction project in 2004, the WSJ said. The family moved into the Martha's Vineyard inspired home in 2008, the article says.
The Brookside Avenue mansion is complete with a walk-in closet with a couch and television, a basement movie theater, a 3,000-book library and a balloon room — painted to resemble a hot-air balloon, the WSJ reported.
The home was previously listed with an asking price of $5.95 million, the article says.
