Wheel pops off Range Rover in Ridgewood Route 17 crash

ONLY ON CVP: The wheel of Range Rover popped off on southbound Route 17 in Ridgewood this afternoon, sending the vehicle into a concrete divider, a witness told police who responded to the crash.

The male driver escaped injury, but the SUV was heavily damaged and had to be towed.

A police officer retrieved the wheel, which rolled more than 100 feet in the 12:15 p.m. cdrash.

Ridgewood firefighters tended to a minor fluid spill

The left and center lanes of southbound Route 17 near Race Track Road were closed for more than 45 minutes while the wreckage was cleared.
