Tail end of big storm messes with traffic

BUMPER CARS: Hours of crashes, fender benders and spin-outs from one end of Bergen County to the other came courtesy of the wet, icy tail end of the weekend storm, which struck late yesterday afternoon and lasted just long enough to mess with people’s evening plans.

One person was taken The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood just before 9 o’clock last night when a Ford SUV careened off Route 17 and into a snowbank.

Another collision involved two vehicles a few hours earlier at the intersection of South Maple Avenue and Dayton Street in Ridgewood that sent both vehicles careening into snowbanks.
